Things to Know


Checking In/Out: Check In time is 4:00pm. Check Out time is at 10:00 am.  Please check-in at the Alpacafe.  Last check-ins are at 6pm.  If check-in after this time is needed, please let us know.  For check-out, please ensure you have all belongings packed up and out of the tent by that time. 

Cleaning Fee: There is a $30 one time cleaning fee for your stay here.  This is added on at checkout.

Cancellation: Cancellations are eligible for full refund minus a $20 processing fee when cancelled within 2 weeks of check-in.  Cancellations made within 7 days of check-in are eligible for farm credit minus $20 processing fee and cancellations made within 48 hours prior to check-in are non-refundable.

Electricity: There is no on-site electricity beyond what is provided via solar power for lights and other amenities.

Primitive Camping: Our glamp sites are considered primitive as there are no electrical or water hookups.  Please be aware of this and plan to bring battery packs and water.  There will also be water and drinks available for purchase at the Alpacafe.

Bathrooms & Showers: There are public compostable bathrooms on site within some walking distance of the camping sites.  There are showers available for cold showers.

Farm Store (Alpacafe):  Looking for yarn?  Coffee? Alpaca things or forgot something for your trip? Our farm store is open from 8-11 and again from 4-6pm.

Accessibility: Many areas of Purple Alpaca Farms are non-handicapped accessible.   

Age Restrictions: Purple Alpaca Farms is a family friendly farm and campsite, however we ask that children be supervised at all times during your visit for their own safety. 

Emergencies and Staff: The hosts are on site and available 24 hrs a day. During business hours, please report any questions, concerns or emergencies to the attendant at the Alpacafe or to the Office. If there is an emergency or concern after business hours, please contact us via email at info@purplealpacafarms.com

Glamping Units and Sites: All Glamping units at Purple Alpaca Farms are named and available for reservation only. Please only use your assigned tent.  Only registered guests may use the glamping sites .  We do recommend that campers bring their own locks for their tent zippers.

Parking: Please follow the signs up the drive to the designated parking lot. Please only park in the designated parking lot. 

Quiet Time: Quiet time at Purple Alpaca Farms is observed from 10:00pm to 8:00 am every night. 

Pets: Pets are only allowed on a case by case basis and only in designated tents.  Dogs are required to be leashed at all times.

Campfires: Please only make fires in designated fire pits.  No outside wood allowed.  Wood is available for purchase at the Alpacafe.  Please ensure that the fire is completely extinguished when you are finished. NEVER leave fire unattended. 

No smoking: No Flammable Lanterns or fire of any kind allowed INSIDE of accommodation. No fireworks or Fire Lanterns Permitted ANYWHERE on the Glamping Site.

Office Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00pm

Leave No Trace: We follow the leave no trace principles and accommodations must be left as they were found  

Belongings: Purple Alpaca Farms is not responsible for any damage or theft of personal belongings, so please do not leave any valuables in your accommodation if you go out.

Tents: Do not untie or loosen ropes around tents as this will disturb the integrity of the structure.
